May the Lord fill your life with the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

If God is not first in your life, then something else is (Deut 6:4-5, Matt 6:24, 33; 10:32-38, Mark 8:34, Luke 11:23, 1 John 5:21).

"When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes." (Matthew 24:37-39)

With Noah’s ark, there was only one way on because there was only one door! More importantly, there was only that single warning of the boat being built for almost 100 years! All that time people were shrugging it off because they didn’t understand that God was patiently waiting for repentance. Instead they got more caught up in their life and their pride. They kept ignoring the presence of that boat because life was too fun; too enjoyable. How could it vanish! Everything seemed so good. But they forgot their first love, forgot who they were, and why they were there.

When I look at this great nation of the United States I cannot help but look at how far it has fallen from God. From a nation whose founding fathers where devout believers and followers of Christ to a nation that wants nothing to do with the name Jesus. This country has taken great measures to ensure that God is completely removed from our schools, our jobs and our government. Now we seek only after our own understanding, our own pride, our own religion, and our own pleasures. While many will call themselves "Christian" they still continue to live without God in their lives. They live for what the world can give them. They live to enjoy their boastful trips, their money, their wine & beer, their adulterous relationships, their perverted lifestyles, their tolerance and acceptance of evil doers by inviting them into their lives, and their self-help mottos.

The people in Noah's days made perilous mistakes that cost them their lives. Don't let this happen to you. The rain has been coming down for some time now. Don't miss the boat.
