May the Lord fill your life with the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

If God is not first in your life, then something else is (Deut 6:4-5, Matt 6:24, 33; 10:32-38, Mark 8:34, Luke 11:23, 1 John 5:21).

"...my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God." (Acts 20:24)

Imagine being forgiven for EVERYTHING that you did wrong. Consider the stake for not being forgiven.

You see, we will all physically die. While we cannot change the choices we made in the past, we can change the choice we make now, today! So, the question is, do you want eternal death or eternal life? This choice is all part of the free will given to us. We all have to choose before we are judged by the Son of God Himself, Jesus Christ (John 5:21-30, Acts 10:42-43, Romans 2:6-10, 2 Corinthians 5:10).

I would like to use this site to help share the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Luke 8:16-17, Acts 20:24, Philippians 3:8-14). This Gospel, or Good News, is one of God's grace, mercy and love. It is forgiveness of your past through Jesus Christ. This means that you are new and born again. Yes, that is correct and, yes, that is possible! God's grace and mercy will be shared with all those that believe and accept the truth through Jesus Christ. The most beautiful part is EVERYONE is entitled to receive this gift. Even more beautiful is God's desire that EVERYONE be forgiven and seek His Kingdom.

You see, GOD HAS PUT YOU FIRST! He is jealous for you, and gave up His only Son for your sins!

Just like so many others, I am a witness to His glory, grace and salvation and I know you can become one too! My past & present is not unlike yours; filled with unrestrained behavior, anger, resentment, jealousy, impatience, etc. As much as the enemy would like to convince me that my sins are far too great for forgiveness, I know this is a lie because the promises of God are never broken! His promises include salvation, grace, mercy, peace, love and joy. He has brought these gifts to me and holds them for everyone. He even holds the most precious gift of them all. A gift that the enemy said was not possible: That one person cannot take all the burden of sin. Don't believe the lies of the enemy. Trust in the unchanging Word of the Lord. There are 66 Books written over 1,500 years in three different languages and by over 40 different authors, each with different backgrounds. Yet they all agreed with one another; not one conflict, not one contradiction, not one Word changed since it was written. Try getting just five people in the room and agree on sports, economics or politics let alone religion! It was the very first book to be published, it was the first and only schoolbook in the U.S. for years, it has been translated in over 2,000 languages, and it has always been the bestselling book globally!

I started this site while I was doing my first Bible studies. Whenever I realized something awesome and powerful I wanted (and tried) to tell others but nobody cared. But the fire inside could not be contained so I had to write about it! I realize that I am not a professionally writer and there are probably numerous grammar and spelling errors, but that's not the point here. It is my intention that this site becomes both a helpful resource to share the Good News and a site to start the foundation of a new life in Christ. If you haven't done so already, begin to read the Bible and study the scripture wholeheartedly. Behold the power that lies within it! It forever changed me.

Until I was saved, everything in my life had been my will. I had been blaming others and using circumstances as excuses for the way I felt and for things that I got and didn’t get! It was something that I could pinpoint on others, but not so easily on myself. Living without accountability took a toll on my relationships with others, including my family and spouse, as well as my career. I was living in isolation, keeping my struggles a secret. The results of my sins, doing it "my way," produced constant struggles with others, school, career, and finances. Because I never once consulted God or gave Him praise, my life had been fruitless. I had become a withered tree ready to be cut down and thrown away.

But, regardless of my circumstances I am just another powerless, weak person with no control over my own life. But you see, we all are! We cannot save ourselves, nor can we save one another. Only ONE person can correct my mistakes and help me overcome my sins. This was my simple prayer: “Jesus, I am sorry for my sins. Forgive me for my arrogance and self-pity. I know you died for my sins and now I leave my sins at the cross. I surrender to your powers. Fill me with your Spirit and direct my steps to fulfill your will and purpose, not mine. In your name, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness and direction. Amen.” (If you are ready to ask Jesus to forgive your sins, I encourage you to do it NOW. Why wait. You do not know what will happen to you in the next minute or the next day. Would you want to die and not know you are going to heaven? Now you can. Here is a link to help you change your life: Steps to Peace With God.)

My reality check was the moment that I realized that in the middle of our worst trials, we cannot lose sight of the fact that this life is not all there is. For a Christian, there is eternity in Heaven! We must focus on the prize and run the race for Him with endurance!!

1 Corinthians 9:24

Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!

Philippians 2:16

Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.

Philippians 3:14

I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. But when we do nothing for fear of being rejected or for fear we will not meet with resounding success, we are really missing what God has called us to do.

What is God calling me to do? The same thing He has called ALL OF US to do… share the Good News with everyone, everywhere!!

I revamped my work domain to help share the Good News with others (now this domain hosts the site). It seemed like a favorable alternative to developing something on one of the popular portals that also hosts secular content (like mySpace or Yahoo, although I have a Facebook account through our church network). However, it would be great if the internet, TV & film mediums properly brought the message of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible. What a delight it would be to see more faith-based film* & TV stations dedicated to family programming that properly define Christianity and Christ instead of the diluted Hollywood version. Unfortunately this will never happen. As we were reminded by Jesus, the world is not seeking the truth (John 14:17). What we get from writers and Hollywood is the same repeated notion of self-glorifying good deeds. Movies like "Pay It Forward" and "Evan Almighty" (A-R-K = one Act of Random Kindness) clearly repeat the mantra of how to change the world - man's way! This is not a novel idea and the reason it never thrives is because we are all filthy, lying, conniving, deceiving sinners (Jeremiah 17:9Mark 7:21-22Romans 3:23) and this is why we must be Born Again (Ephesians 4:17-31first if we truly want change. Don't get confused here. In fact, if you have read through this website you clearly understand that I am not saying not to do good things but rather do them from the faith and love from Jesus Christ, which will always produce good deeds that will always give God the glory!

By far, too many people either do not know Jesus beyond His name or have a misunderstanding about who He is and what He offers. It is disturbing that too many people, particularly younger people, rely on TV & film for so-called "facts" but instead get a version of truth that says it is ok to live together and engage in sexual relations outside of marriage, and it is ok to be divorced, it is ok to have an abortion, it is ok to be gay, or it is ok to worship the creation over the Creator (e.g. environmentalism, vegetarians, the virgin Mary). We have become this socially conscious society that decided it is better to be sensitive over differences rather than risk hurting someone's feelings and tell them the truth. The "truth" is the "truth" and it cannot be changed or altered to meet personal preferences. Can you imagine a child doing this with their parents? How about an employee with their employer? What if you had cancer? Would you want a doctor that told you only what you wanted to hear or would you want the truth? So why would we attempt to do this with the Word of God?

A someone pointed out to me, the Bible contains "basic instructions before leaving earth" (B-I-B-L-E). Or, as another person puts it, "He only left you (H-O-L-Y) basic instructions before leaving earth." But our culture has redefined and softened sin so that our lifestyles become justified. We have almost entirely removed fear from our lives; look at why our prison system is over crowded! There seems to be no fear for the mistakes we make. The result has been trying to fit the Bible into our lifestyle instead of fitting our lives into the Bible. This is a huge difference! There's no misunderstanding over the context with the latter. Religion is not meant to be a smorgasbord where we can pick and choose according to our needs. The Bible holds all the truth we need to know and it cannot be altered for personal preference (Proverbs 30:5-6, Revelation 22:18-19). In fact, it evens tells us why some are never ready for the truth (John 10:10, 2 Corinthians 4:3-4, Ephesians 2:2-3; 6:12, 1 Peter 5:8).

Now I am not saying it is better to hurt someone's feelings, but we can correct them with tact and responsibility (character traits that unfortunately disappeared around the same time as accountability and integrity). The Bible tells us to warn others, but also to love and encourage everyone. We are commanded to help others and not turn a blind eye and accept differences in order to avoid the risk of a conflict (2 Corinthians 7:9-10). Through love, encouragement and faith we can and should help one another become more obedient children of God's family. We, as Christians, are commanded to be ambassadors for Christ (Matthew 25:14-30Mark 10:42-45John 13:1-17John 172 Corinthians 5:11-21). We are the salt of the earth, the light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16). Blessed are those who hear the word and live by it (Luke 11:28)!

In the financial industry it was not uncommon for people to start thinking about their retirement accounts around tax time because they wanted to deduct their contribution. Not really the best method, but that is unfortunately the way certain triggers work. And, just like April 15th brings the long lines to make last minute contributions, most people do not think about their faith until they either attend a funeral or church on Christmas and then again on Easter, both the largest days for church attendance. If God is supposed to be first in your life, why does this happen? All I can say is, don't let this happen to you. Take on new habits TODAY that put God first in everything in your life. You never know when your last breath will be taken. Make Him the center of your life and help others draw near to Him by letting His light shine through you (Luke 8:16-17)!

I probably have gone on too far, so to get back on track. It was through prayer that I was lead back to church. This time, however, I became more actively involved! He has since shown me that everything is possible through His will. I have learned to submit to His powers and surrender all of my needs in return for His purpose. I have learned to be more patient and understanding, and I have come to understand the true meaning of faith! How in awe I have become over His love, glory, grace and mercy.

In this effort to SPREAD THE GOOD NEWS, we must be careful. I am a witness to this fact. I got caught up in the “feel good, self-help” pop-psychology several times! It happened when I got away from drugs and alcohol, it happened again when my business and marriage was failing. It is out there folks, in abundance!! Beware of those claiming to be Christian. Beware of false teachings and false leadership. Even in churches that profess a “purpose driven” or “victorious” message. A scripture posted on the wall or in some publication does not necessarily make what they are saying true. Stay alert and lean on Christ for dependence, not yourself and not others! No one else holds the truth. No one else holds the keys to heaven’s door. Only through Jesus will we ever walk through the narrow gate!!

Seek Jesus in every decision and every action. Ask Him to guide you and walk with you. Remember to do this. It is far too easy to start doing something that “looks good” and “produces good results” but it does NOT have the power of God behind it. God controls all things and delivers all things through His purpose. The moment we make decisions on our own we get into serious trouble. Remember the first sin was rejecting God for our independence.

God will always direct you in the right path. All circumstances, good and bad, occur for His reason. Maybe He doesn’t want you to “climb every mountain.” If He does, he will direct you in faith and Spirit. Stay alert to His commands. Stay focused on His prize. Run the race with faith, obedience, boldness, courage… endurance!

I have known God for many years but have never been TRULY committed to Him. Neutrality in the hour of decision is a curse that invariably leads to tragic consequences. I have now come to accept that I need to stop hiding my love and commitment to Christ. I must let the word out! Mistakes? Embarrassment?? I would rather make every mistake and be embarrassed in sharing my faith than do nothing at all. At the very minimum, a least I will have learned something from my mistakes.

We were created to live with and for one another. When we think the world revolves around us, we lose sight of God's intended purpose. We have to reach out to as many of God's children as we possibly can. When we learn to walk with others, we have learned to walk with God!!

But don't listen to what I have to say. Check it all out for yourself. Go directly to the source, the Scripture.

God bless you and your family!

This site uses the New Living Translation (NLT) for a specific reason.

I encourage you to use a parallel Bible if you really want to study God's Word (i.e. one that either includes the NASB or NKJV).

If you are really brave, then you may want to include the original Greek & Hebrew translations as part of your study efforts.

Other study aides to include would be a concordance (like Strong's), a Bible dictionary, reputable commentaries, and a Bible map book.

Also note that the BibleGateway website allows the reader to choose from a number of translations as well as use the parallel feature.
